University of Massachusetts
Medical School
CMTI was an amazing experience. It not only reinforced important topics from undergrad, but also taught me how to truly analyze problems. Not only did I learn more about how medical device development works in industry, but I also learned how complex the dynamics between medicine and engineering truly are. I truly loved how CMTI provided a comprehensive view of medical device design including the engineering, entrepreneurial, medical, and legal aspects. On top of everything, the year-long project brings all of the theory and ideas that the students are taught into a real and cohesive way of understanding the material. Ultimately, though I am pursuing medicine, I think that my time in CMTI has taught me so much on how to address complex problems and has equipped me to be a better physician.
