“The two month rotation gave us the experience to communicate with different types of clinicians and allowed us to really understand how medical devices are used in a clinical setting.”

Currently I am working at Bausch + Lomb as a development engineer in the lens design group and the CMTI program was a very large reason for the opportunity. The lens design group is involved in all aspects of product life cycle of the medical device, from designing and developing the contact lenses to communicating with clinicians to gain feedback about the lenses. The CMTI program is a great program in that we touch on all these different pieces. The two month rotation gave us the experience to communicate with different types of clinicians and allowed us to really understand how medical devices are used in a clinical setting. We also learned the business side of the medical device world and how the devices are regulated, along with many other topics. The ability of the program to supply us with such diverse skills in a short period of time is what makes the CMTI program unique and a great experience. Mohammad Musleh, M.S.
