The mission of the CMTI is to create innovative device solutions to focused clinical problems through a cross-disciplinary collaboration. The CMTI offers a novel one-year M.S. degree in Biomedical Engineering that is focused on medical device design. The program intends to directly effect improvement in patient care and outcomes while promoting a unique education in both clinical care and bioengineering design. Students within the CMTI MS program receive extensive training in the commercialization process of medical devices.
The CMTI resides within the Department of Biomedical Engineering and is a joint collaboration between the Hajim School of Engineering & Applied Sciences and theSchool of Medicine & Dentistry.
