Courtney is currently a medical student  at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine.  Courtney started at Materialise USA where she worked with surgeons to help them plan their surgical cases using 3D modeling software. For each case, she created a patient-specific model of the anatomy and then sat with the surgeon over a webmeeting to discuss the surgical approach. She then designed the surgical guides that they used during the surgery to cut the bone and have them 3-D printed in time for the case. Her work focuseed on Orthopedic cases but the company also worked in the Craniomaxillofacial area as well.
